A Week of Flowers 2024: Day Six

Welcome back to my Week of Flowers!🌺🌷🌻

At this time of year we need something to remind us of the beauty our gardens and nature offer us in the warmer months. Something to start our day off with a smile. So join me this week in sharing some of your brightest floral photos of something you have grown this year for A Week of Flowers 2024, going through till Friday December the 6th. (That is tomorrow!) Just one image, or a few if you like, it doesn’t really matter. Perhaps you can contribute today or tomorrow. Then leave a link below so others can find you.

So many flowers still to share and the week is almost over! Can hardly believe it is Day Six already! I am turning up the temperature and focussing on some sunny yellows and hot oranges today.

This beautiful Echinacea paradoxa wowed me this summer. And it has a lovely fragrance too.

Heliopsis ‘Summer Sunshine’ lives up to its name, and flowers early summer through till August. ☀

Another very apt name was given to this Chrysopsis – ‘Sunnyshine’. This is a highlight at the end of summer, and the tall golden daisy-like flowers bloom until the first frosts.

Tithonia, with a Peacock butterfly

Echinacea Sunset is a lovely deep colour, reminding me of banana custard. 🤣

Helenium ‘Sahin’s Early Flowerer’ in August, sharing a vase with pink Echinacea, pink Amberboa muricata and yellow Rudbeckia

And finally…

Some Californian Poppies that flowered all summer until the first frosts!

Phew, it’s getting warm in here! 😂

Just one more day left of this week of flowers. Hope to see you again tomorrow for the Grande Finale!
