A Week of Flowers 2024: Day One

Well, in the northern hemisphere at least, it is that time of year again… the weather is chilly and damp, skies are grey, and the garden is lacking in any significant colour. We need something to remind us of the beauty our gardens and nature offer us in the warmer months. Something to start our day off with a smile. So join me in sharing some of your brightest floral photos over the next week, going through till Friday December the 6th. Just one a day, or a few if you like, it doesn’t really matter. And even if you can’t post every day, perhaps you can contribute on one or two days. Then leave a link below my post for that day so others can find you.

Let’s get started!

To get us in the mood, some blue sky. Aaah, that’s nice.

And now I will share some other blues that made me smile this summer.

Veronica teucrium ‘Knallblau’ in May

Campanula lactiflora ‘Prichard’s Variety’ in June

Campanula again with Verbascum nigra ‘Album’ and Epilobium angustifolium ‘Album’, June

Salvia nemorosa ‘Blauhügel’

Scabiosa caucasica ‘Perfecta’

Can you feel that warm sun, hear the buzzing of the insects and the birds singing?

😁

Have a great day, and see you tomorrow!
